Voluntary Arts has curated the annual Voluntary Arts Festival since 2012. The Festival is a chance for people to get creative – share what you already do, or try something new for the first time. In turn, the Festival shines a spotlight on the amazing work community-led groups are doing all year round across the country. This year’s Voluntary Arts Festival will take place from 5 to 14 May.

CALL OUT TO ALL COMMUNITY-LED CREATIVE GROUPS: Are you part of a theatre group? Choir? Amateur orchestra? Photography club? Knitting circle?  The Voluntary Arts Festival is open to creative groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes. You could hold a taster session, open day, pop-up event or simply advertise your regular activity and make it welcoming to new people. Staging an event as part of the Voluntary Arts Festival is a great way to attract new members, raise your profile in local media, celebrate your achievements, and feel part of a nationwide event celebrating community-led, creative cultural activity. Hundreds of groups and thousands of participants celebrated their creativity in 2016 and we’re looking forward to doing it all again in May 2017! Watch our short film to find out how to get involved: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQHUF027t0U
