The Line Up
Live Music Events
Join with us in celebrating the best of Scottish culture with an eclectic mix of live music on Sat 25 and Sun 26 May at Belleisle Park.
Our finale gig features former Del Amitri frontman turned singer songwriter Justin Currie. Justin has released two solo albums ‘What is love for?’ and ‘The Great War’ and has just returned from recording his next as yet untitled album in Austin Texas which will be released in 2013. Justin was the lead singer and bassist in Del Amitri, which he formed in Glasgow in 1982 with Iain Harvie. Del Amitri became an internationally successful band, with estimated record sales of 5 million plus, hit singles including ‘Kiss This Thing Goodbye’, ‘Nothing Ever Happens’, ‘Always the Last to Know’ and the US Top 10 hit ‘Roll to Me’. Justin will be supported by Scottish singer songwriter Rachel Sermanni who will be performing, amongst her own material, her own unique version of Ae Fond Kiss, released earlier this year for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland. With good food and drink, space to picnic and lots to do why not make a weekend of it and enjoy the best in Scottish live music…
